As part of developing clinical skills and supporting continuing medical education, a training workshop titled “Ultrasound guided thoracentesis procedures and chest tube placement” was held at Homs University, under the supervision of Dr. Ragheed Turkmani, a specialist in pulmonary diseases. <\/p>\n

The workshop targeted 20 resident doctors specialized in internal medicine and general medicine, and lasted for four hours. <\/p>\n

The workshop focused on the theoretical aspects of thoracentesis and chest tube placement, and the use of echo to guide interventions. A practical section was devoted to developing participants’ manual skills using high-quality simulation mannequins. <\/p>\n

The workshop concluded with a scientific discussion of the most prominent potential complications and their effective clinical management.<\/p>\n

This workshop is part of a series of activities aimed at raising the efficiency of medical personnel and enhancing their ability to provide advanced, quality healthcare.
