President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, received a delegation from the Italian organization “Emergence” headed by Ms. Rossella, in the presence of the Director of Homs Health Directorate, Prof. Khaled Al-Homsi, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Talal Habboush, to enhance the academic and medical cooperation as well as the exchange of expertise. <\/p>\n

The two sides discussed the rehabilitation of Al-Rastan Hospital to be a teaching hospital supporting the medical residency programs for postgraduate students. <\/p>\n

Prof. Houssam ElDeen emphasized the importance of this partnership in supporting health and educational sectors and the significance of considering it as an essential step in linking medical education with practice and providing integrated training environments. <\/p>\n

In turn, the head of “Emergency” indicated that the organization would provide its administrative and technical skills in qualifying the medical facilities, developing the medical services, and building the capacities of local cadres. <\/p>\n

The visit included a tour to the Faculty of Medicine, in which the delegation checked the educational and training situation and the mechanisms for activating cooperation in clinical training. <\/p>\n
