The President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, the Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Walid Khaddam, the Member of National Commission for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Prof. Walid Suhyouni, and the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Talal Habboush, inspected the progress of the first session of the unified medical exam, organized by the commission for the sixth year students who wish to apply for the higher studies admission sorting at the faculties of medicine in Syrian public, private and non-Syrian universities.
\nProf. Houssam ElDeen indicated that Homs University center received 112 students, including 23 students from the university, stressing that the examinations were conducted according to the applicable rules and regulations and in a comfortable atmosphere.
\nFor his part, Prof. Habboush pointed out that the first session included 120 questions in the fields of internal medicine, dermatology and pediatrics, and that the second session will be held on the 21st of this month, and will include the same number of questions in the fields of surgery, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and gynecology and obstetrics.
\nHe added that the condition for success for students of Syrian and private universities is to achieve 60% with granting two marks as exam assistance, while graduates of non-Syrian universities are subject to the exam for the purpose of equivalency and the success rate for them is set at 50%, provided that the percentage of 60% is adopted as a condition for applying to the postgraduate studies competition.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
