The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Marwan Al-Halabi, discussed with the members of Homs University Council the university’s current situation, ways of developing teaching process and promoting its role in recovery and reconstruction phase, in the presence of Homs governor, Mr. Murhaf Al-Naasan.
\nProf. Marwan Al-Halabi emphasized the importance of university’s role in preparing qualified personnel and supporting development, through enhancing scientific research, developing curricula and linking them with the requirements of labour market, and expanding digital transformation.
\nFor his part, Mr. Al-Naasan confirmed the importance of Homs University as a national educational institution, affirming the readiness of the governorate to provide the support required to fulfill its scientific and development role.
\nDuring the meeting, the university president, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, reviewed the academic and administrative reality of the university as well as its prominent faculties and research centers. Deans of the faculties presented academic and service- related challenges and needs, along with proposals f or developing research and educational infrastructure.
\nThe attendees also discussed the situation of student and administrative staff, mechanisms for improving performance and enhancing the quality of all aspects of university operations, and the strategic plan proposed by the university within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s plan. The meeting was attended by the Minister’s assistants, members of the University Council, directors of university centers, a representative of the Student Union, the General Supervisor of Higher Education Institutions, and the Director of the University City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
