Homs University and the Syrian Engineers Syndicate – Homs Branch signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening scientific, research and professional cooperation between the two sides, developing training and qualification programs, and exchanging experiences in a way that contributes to linking education outputs with labor market needs and supporting development efforts.
\nThe memorandum includes cooperation in the fields of engineering studies and consultations, graduation projects, scientific research, organizing training courses, seminars and scientific conferences, in addition to documenting architectural heritage and holding joint engineering exhibitions and competitions.
\nPresident of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, pointed out the importance of this memorandum in strengthening the partnership between the university and professional institutions, which will positively impact the development of the educational and research process, provide students with greater opportunities to benefit from practical and applied experiences, and contribute to preparing qualified engineering personnel capable of meeting the requirements of development and reconstruction.
\nFor his part, Eng. Tarik Al-Soufi, head of the Syrian Engineers Syndicate, Homs branch, affirmed that the memorandum constitutes a practical framework for expanding cooperation with Homs University and leveraging available scientific and academic resources. This will support the training of young engineers, enhance their professional competence, and strengthen the syndicate’s role in serving the community and contributing to construction and development projects. The memorandum reflects the commitment of both parties to unify efforts and develop joint work mechanisms that benefit students, engineers, and researchers, and bolster the role of scientific and professional institutions in supporting the development process in the governorate.
