A master thesis entitled “Using Approximation Methods to Reduce the Time of Structural Analysis for Seismic-Resistant Structures” was discussed by the researcher Ahmed Ghasan Al-Naser,
under the supervision of Prof. Muhammed Ali Essa.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Waleed Ibrahim, Prof. Essam Melhem, and Prof. Muhammed Essa.
This research studied 39 models of three structural systems.
The first system: the frame tube (tube within a tube), at heights of 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48 floors.
The second system: Shear walls at heights of 3, 7, and 12 floors
Third system: Moment-resistant frames at heights of 3, 7, 12 floors
