A doctoral dissertation entitled “The Effect of Doping on the Structural, Optical, and Luminescent Properties of Strontium Fluoride” was discussed by the researcher Omar Othman Al-Aboush in the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Science, Al-Baath University (Homs), under the supervision of Prof. Mofid Diab and Prof. Ahmed Khaddrou.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Jihad Atieh, Prof. Ayman Ksibi, Prof. Hasan Suleiman, Prof. Afif Barhoum, and Prof.
Ahmed Khaddrou.
This study investigated the effect of doping on the structural, optical, and luminescent properties of strontium fluoride prepared using the solid-state reaction method. Strontium fluoride was doped separately with three different elements: antimony, chromium, and nickel, in increasing concentrations starting from 0.1% until the appearance of secondary phases.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a doctoral degree with distinction.
