A master’s thesis entitled “The effect of foliar spraying with bread yeast suspension and licorice root extract on the production and quality of Valencia orange trees” was discussed by the researcher Lamis Haitham Al-Abbas at the Faculty of Agriculture, under the supervision of Prof. Ghasan Telli and Prof. Ahmed Ahmed.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Ghassan Telli, Prof. Talal Al-Fawzou, and Prof. Thanaa Dabou.
The aim of this research is to study the effect of foliar spraying with different concentrations of yeast suspension and licorice root extract on the production of Valencia orange trees, to study the combined effect of both yeast suspension and licorice root extract on the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of production, and to determine the optimal concentration that gives the highest production and the best quality of fruit.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher was awarded a master’s degree in agricultural engineering, specializing in horticulture/fruit and citrus production, with a very good grade.
