A master thesis entitled ” Synthesis of nano-zinc oxide and nano-silver oxide using pomegranate peels” was discussed by the researcher Marwa Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Khalaf at the Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Muhammed Hilal, Prof. Tamara Shahrli. The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Muhammad Hilal, Prof. Muwaffaq Talawi, and Prof. Adnan Sheikh Hammoud.
The importance of the research from an environmental perspective lies in the increasing quantities of pomegranate peels that are discarded as waste during the production of pomegranate molasses, which represent an environmental burden that requires solutions to utilize them instead of disposing of them in unsafe ways.
