It focused on scientific writing skills, formulating research according to the requirements of international journals, writing letters and theses according to international standards, in addition to discussing the topics of graduate studies theses and their relationship to development and sustainability.
The workshop was presented by Prof. Alaa Al-Sibaei (Associate Professor at the University of Warwick, UK), and targeted postgraduate students, engineers, and engineering students in the fields of communications, electrical and electronic engineering, software engineering, control, computers, and mechatronics.

A scientific workshop titled “Advanced Software Packages in Modern Communications Applications” was held on Thursday, July 27, 2025. It covered antenna design and analysis, alignment techniques, and the use of programming languages ​​in engineering applications, in addition to scientific discussions with graduate students. 2- Training workshops for graduate engineers:

In the field of practical training, the “Fundamentals of Modern Communication Networks” workshop was held during the period 12–15 January 2026, in cooperation with MTN, and targeted 110 graduate engineers.
The workshop covered radio transmission, network core, switching technologies, as well as the basics of fourth and fifth generation networks, and concluded with a number of recommendations that emphasized the importance of organizing these workshops and enhancing cooperation with the private sector.

3- Participation in the graduation projects exhibition:

The department participated in the Syrian Universities Graduation Projects Exhibition 2025, which was held during the period 9–14 November 2025 under the slogan “Syrian Youth are Making the Future”, with the participation of more than 120 graduation projects from Syrian universities.
The Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering represented the university with seven applied projects serving the community and development, covering the fields of the internet of things, robotics, smart systems, renewable energy, and assistive devices. During the exhibition, the following projects were awarded prizes: a robotic triage system using computer vision, and the design and development of a walker device to assist the elderly with mobility using integrated control technologies.
