In the presence of the university president, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, a doctoral dissertation entitled
“Using numerical modeling to identify and analyze the characteristics of the electron and ion beams generated by the dense incinerating plasma” was discussed by the researcher Alaa Zidan,
under the supervision of Prof. Walid Sahyouni and with the participation of Prof. Alaa Nassif ,assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Al-Wataniya Private University.
ومن جانبه، أشاد الدكتور “طارق حسام الدين” بالمستوى العلمي والمنهجي للأطروحة، مؤكداً على أهميتها في رفد البحث العلمي في جامعة حمص بدراسات تخصصية دقيقة وحديثة، كما أثنى على جهود الباحثة والمشرفين على الأطروحة في تقديم نتاج بحثي متميز يواكب التطورات العالمية في فيزياء البلازما وتطبيقاتها في الطب والصناعة والاندماج النووي الحراري.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof.Walid Sahyouni, Prof. Jihad Attia, Prof. Nazih Haidar, Prof. Mahmoud Issa Ahmed, and Prof. Mustafa Dilo.
The objective of the research is to
– Deriving the relationships that give the characteristics of the studied electronic and ion beams.
– Conduct numerical simulations of these properties to determine the effect of the difference in both the type of gas and the device on the properties of the particle beams.
Possible practical applications of the resulting particle beams
