The Faculty of Architecture at Homs University has organized a training course for the students wishing to apply for admission competition, with the participation of 120 students. The course lasts for six days, and includes the following skills:
Basics and skills of free-hand drawing, drawing and applying the right rules for shadowing, introducing the
Basics and skills of freehand drawing, drawing perspectives and applying the correct rules of shading, learning the principles of space, three-dimensional volumes, and shadows, in addition to reviewing the foundations and rules for taking the admission test.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has indicated that the university is keen to conduct such courses every year to refine the students’ skills and prepare them for dealing with the requirements of architectural studying, as passing the competition is a basic requirement to be admitted to the faculty, after meeting the specified conditions and grades.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture, Prof. Abdul Rahman Hamdoun, has pointed out that the course provides trainees with intensive daily training of four hours under the supervision of specialized professors, noting that the faculty is preparing to hold a second training course to provide the opportunity for the largest number of applicants.
