A master’s dissertation entitled” Detecting Xylella fastidiosa in the middle region of Syria and diagnosing the symptoms similar to other pathogens” was discussed by the researcher Siba Youssef Al Masti, under the supervision of Prof. Hasan Khalil.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Ramia Saoud and Prof. Jihad Muhammad Agha
The researcher pointed out that the aim of the research is to detect Xylella fastidiosa which causes many diseases affecting many host plants in the central region of Syria, by different methods (molecular – serological), and to diagnose and define pathogens with symptoms similar to those of infection with X. fastidiosa.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher Siba Youssef Al Masti was awarded a master’s degree with a very good grade.
