In implementation of the joint scientific cooperation agreement between Al-Baath University and the Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas in Russia, Al-Baath University participated via video conference in the international scientific conference entitled “Environmental and Geological Assessment of Mountain River Basins, Theoretical Aspects, Methodological Axes, Regional Studies” which was held by the Kovalevsky Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas in Russia. The participating researchers presented scientific research that included solutions to some practical case studies. The university vice-president for scientific affairs, Prof. Maan Salameh, stressed the importance of scientific cooperation which serves the scientific interests of both parties. The conference was attended by the researchers: Prof. Maan Salameh, Prof. Lina Al Naddaf, Prof. Aber Muhammed, Prof. Tamadur Al Ibrahim, and Prof. Firas Assaf.
