Theoretical exams of the first semester have started at Homs University where about 84,000 students from various specializations take the exams which last for a month in 20 faculties. The university steering committee has confirmed that all necessary measures have been taken for optimal progress of examinations, within the instructions circulated by the university council as part of the regulations issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. In addition, the committee directed the faculty administration to create a comfortable atmosphere for students by equipping the examination halls and auditoriums with the necessary supplies, completing the issuance of examination programs and schedules, and posting them on the faculties websites in sufficient time to enable students to pass their exams without obstacles. The committee has also stressed that the questions should be objective and clear and take into account the different levels of students, emphasizing that the faculty members should be present in the halls to answer students’ inquiries and solve any potential problems. The committee also called on students to fully adhere to the exam instructions and avoid committing exam violations to avoid the penalties that may be taken against them, wishing them excellence and success in their exams.
