A doctoral dissertation entitled “Improving the durability of high-chromium cast iron grinding balls” was discussed by the researcher Muhammed Rami Rakan Al-jandi at the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, under the supervision of Prof. Abbad Kasouha.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Pro. Muhammed Ali Salama, Prof. Abdul Moneim Al-jisri, Prof. Abbad Kasouha, Prof. Abdullah Al-najjar, and Prof. Hassan Issa.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has noted that these applied researches fall within the framework of the university support for scientific projects which are directly related to the needs of the local industrial sector, indicating that the university encourages such research that contributes to improving industrial performance and enhancing reliance on national expertise in developing materials and production technologies.
