In cooperation with the directorate of technical institutes and the students’ union, Homs University honored 100 students who graduated from Engineering Technical Institute of Engineering and Technical Institute for Badia and Desertification Affairs for the 2024-2025 academic year. The ceremony was attended by the faculty and administrative staff from the institutes, several guests, and the graduates’ families.
President of Homs Uniuversity, Prof. Tarek Housssam ElDeen, has congratulated the graduates and their families on this achievement, stating that the two institutes constitute a fundamental pillar in the nation-building process by graduating cadres who contribute to reconstruction, development, and the conservation of land and natural resources.
In addition, he has emphasized the society’s need for the worker who builds, the researcher who preserves, and the technician who innovates, stressing that all are partners in the progress of sustainable development.
Director of the Technical Institute for Badia and Desertification Affairs, Eng. Ferial Al-Muhammed, has pointed out that the institute has been committed, since its establishment, to offering educational programs that address the needs of Badia and the challenges of desertification by integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application and providing an educational environment that encourages innovation and responsibility.
The students have expressed their overwhelming happiness at this ceremony, emphasizing that the moment of honor, attended by their families and teachers, was the result of hard work and dedication, and a powerful motivation to move forward with confidence.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of certificates to the top graduates amidst an atmosphere of joy and pride.
Moreover, it was attended by the university vice-president, Prof. Muhammed Al-Masri, the head of students’ union, Eng. Omar Al-Khaiam, and the director of the institute directorate, Mr. Mumtaz Madani.
