Homs University, in cooperation with the Syrian Computer Society , concluded the activities of global entrepreneurship week 2025, which was organized by the Information and Communications Technology Incubator in cooperation with Startup Syria under the title: “Startup Simulation Laboratory”, during the period from 25 to 30 November 2025, with wide participation from students, researchers and entrepreneurs.
The Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Walid Khaddam, indicated that the activities reflect the university’s commitment to supporting youth and entrepreneurs, enhancing integration between scientific research and innovation, and transforming creative ideas into viable projects that support the knowledge economy and open new horizons for students’ potential. In addition, he emphasized that the university will continue to provide a suitable environment for learning, experimentation, and development, with a focus on empowering students with the skills and experiences necessary to enter the world of entrepreneurship, and strengthening partnerships with experts and investors to serve local innovation.
For her part, the incubator’s director, Engineer Hala Jahjah, indicated that the event was specifically designed to support students entering the job market and provide them with practical tools to help them establish their own projects in the field of technological innovation, explaining that the entrepreneurship week program included intensive training in preparing business plans and conducting economic and financial feasibility studies, in addition to skills in persuading investors and developing prototypes.
Jahjah noted the great interaction from the students and their genuine desire to enter the world of entrepreneurship, stressing that the incubator will continue to provide a supportive environment for young people, with the presence and participation of a number of specialists in technical and entrepreneurial fields.
The Head of the Syrian Computer Society, Dr. Sinan Hatahet, confirmed that the event represents a real platform that enables young people to present their ideas and develop them into promising entrepreneurial projects and companies

It is worth mentioning that the week’s activities focused on building prototypes and economic and financial feasibility studies, developing negotiation skills with investors, in addition to preparing investment portfolios for startsup.
The week witnessed the implementation of three specialized training programs of an applied-research nature. The first training dealt with the design of the project prototype, while the second training focused on the economic feasibility study and financial analysis, and the third training program concluded with the axes of investment negotiation and the development of presentation and persuasion skills.
In addition, the events included a symposium on the importance of investing in youth projects and digital transformation, as well as a visit to the participants’ projects exhibition held within the incubator’s headquarters, with the aim of enhancing students’ interaction with productive entrepreneurial business models.
