The Faculty of Music Education launched a training workshop in piano , under the supervision of Syrian international pianist Ghazwan Zarkali within the framework of scientific and academic cooperation and openness to international expertise.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has affirmed that the university seeks to enhance its academic environment by attracting international talents and expertise, which contributes to developing educational programs and raising the efficiency of students. Moreover, he has indicated that hosting Dr. Ghazwan Zarkali represents a qualitative step due to its high scientific and technical value and positive implications.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Prof. Azza Khallouf, has explained that the workshop aims to provide a specialized masterclass for piano students from different academic years and new graduates, with a focus on evaluating academic performance and providing developmental feedback on the academic work mechanism.
The workshop lasts for a week and concludes with a closing concert showcasing the results of the training and artistic interaction.
This initiative is part of a series of activities implemented by the faculty, in order to enhance the quality of music education and to produce graduates with high artistic and academic competence.
