Homs University signs an understanding memorandum for scientific and developmental cooperation with Syrian Association for Studies and Development, with the purpose of developing bilateral relations and employing the academic skills and field capacities in sustainable development.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has indicated that the memorandum supports the university’s role in serving community and open horizons for systemic cooperation that contributes to improving the health, educational, social, and housing affairs in the governorate. He has also pointed to the importance of enhancing partnerships with specialized institution for achieving practical results.
The president of the association, Dr. Saad AlDeen Othman, has emphasized that the association seeks, through such partnership, to support joint scientific and developmental projects, indicating that cooperation with the university will result in the implementation of research and community initiatives with a tangible impact.
The university vice-president for scientific research and higher studies affairs, Prof. Muhammed Al-Masri, has explained that the memorandum provides practical opportunities for students in field work sites, referring that cooperation strengthens the integration between academic study and practical needs of community.
The agreement includes cooperation in health sector, social development, research in the fields of human development, and educational initiatives
