A doctoral dissertation entitled ” Study of aflatoxins in Syrian wheat varieties and their trace in affected wheat products” was discussed by the engineer Rawad Munir Zahra, under the supervision of Prof. Sherif Sadiq and Prof. Nisreen Al Bitar.
The judging panel comprised Prof. Ahmed Muhanna, Prof.Sherif Sadiq, Prof. Abdul Wahab Marei, Prof. Issam Ashkar, and Prof. Ali Sultana.
The university vice-president for scientific research and higher studies affairs, Prof. Mahmoud Hadid, emphasized during the discussion that the university provides full support to its researchers in order to carry out research and projects that serve all agricultural, industrial and economic sectors and address their problems

At the end of the discussion, the researcher Rawad Munir Zahra was awarded a doctoral degree in food engineering with distinction and a mark 92.40%.
