The university council held its third session chaired by the university president, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, and reviewed the functioning of faculties and the teaching process. Prof. Al Khatib indicated to the importance of focusing on the educational process and improving it in a way that serves the students. He also stressed the need to speed up the procedures of electronic registration of new and old students. The council also reviewed the decision of Higher Education Council to grant the top graduates of the academic year 2022-2023 an additional period of six months to complete the necessary procedures for appointing them as teaching assistants. Moreover, Prof. Al Khatib emphasized the need to intensify efforts for upgrading the world university ranking and providing all support to researchers. The council discussed a number of academic and administrative topics on its agenda to take appropriate decisions.
