Homs University Council held its periodic session, chaired by the university president, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, and attended by the university vice-presidents, the university secretary, and the deans of the faculties.
The council discussed a number of academic and administrative issues and ongoing preparations for the academic year 2025-2026 , including executive instructions for administrative promotions, Decree No. 192 of 2025, mechanism for transferring and promoting students, examination assistance, and the supplementary course for graduates.
In addition, it reviewed the work of the Support and Guidance Center for students wishing to apply for the admission sorting, stressing the importance of overcoming any obstacles they may face, ensuring internet service, and providing specialized staff for optimal registration process.
Prof. Houssam ElDeen emphasized the necessity of issuing the exam results quickly and preparing for the supplementary course well, so all students have equal opportunity.
The council discussed the preparations for the new academic year and the appropriate academic environment, as the university president stressed the importance of making sure of the teaching halls, scientific laboratories, and academic programs.
