Within the framework of enhancing scientific and cultural cooperation between Syrian universities, a joint scientific cooperation agreement has been signed between Homs University and the University of Kalamoon, aimed at supporting scientific research and exchanging academic expertise.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has emphasized that this agreement is an important step in building bridges of scientific cooperation between the Syrian universities and a fundamental pillar for the integration of academic and research efforts. He has also pointed out the importance of joint work with the AUniversity of Kalamoon in developing quality research projects, cooperating in organizing conferences, seminars, research sessions and workshops, in addition to organizing mutual visits between members of the teaching and administrative staff for training and information exchange, giving lectures, and participating in academic events, in addition to sports, artistic, social and cultural activities.

For his part, the President of the University of Kalamoon, Prof. Muhammad Adel Jawad, has referred to the importance of exchanging books, research journals, references, bulletins and scientific publications in order to enhance academic content and enrich the educational environment. He stressed that the agreement opens the way for developing scientific research fields between the two universities, fostering joint research, cooperating in supervising graduation projects, and organizing scientific visits for students that provide them with a diversity of knowledge sources and enrich their academic experience, and open new horizons towards development

This agreement comes in the context of the two universities’ keenness to consolidate a culture of cooperation and scientific openness, and to open new horizons for students and researchers, which contributes to the development of the higher education system in Syria, and enhances the role of universities in serving society and knowledge.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the university vice-presidents and the university secretary.
