The Faculty of Music Education at Homs University held a closing ceremony of the piano training course supervised by the world-renowned Syrian pianist Gaswan Zerikly, in the presence of the President of the University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, the Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Walid Khaddam, the Dean of the Faculty, in addition to faculty members, participating students, and a number of interested people.
Prof. Houssam ElDeen has indicated that the course reflects the university’ openness to international academic expertise, contributes to developing the students’ skills and educational process, emphasizing that the university will continuously support such initiatives that enhance the quality of education and keep pace with global standards.
The faculty dean, Prof. Azzat Khallouf, has stressed that the course has achieved its academic and training objectives and honed the students’ piano skills, noting that such activities promote musical identity and improve the scientific and artistic efficiency of graduates.
Pianist Gaswan Zerikly has pointed out that Homs University represents an ideal environment for developing musical talents, and that the course has focused on updating curricula and training students on the latest playing techniques
