The Faculty of Education organized a scientific dialogue symposium on the occasion of World Autism Awareness Day, in cooperation with Al-Maali Private University and Al-Rabee Association for the care of people with autism, at the Faculty of Agriculture, with the aim of promoting scientific research, academic cooperation and supporting humanitarian issues.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tareek Houssam El-Deen, confirmed that the symposium aims to highlight autism spectrum disorder as one of the developmental disorders that requires concerted scientific and educational efforts to invest the abilities of iindividuals towards creativity and excellence.
The Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Ahmed Al-Hajj Moussa, pointed out that autism spectrum disorder affects communication and social interaction skills, and requires early diagnosis and accurate scientific understanding to provide appropriate support , stressing that the symposium represents a platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing community awareness.
The vice-president for scientific affairs at Al-Maali Private University, Prof. Yasser Al-Shibli,explained that the event is a model of scientific integration between the two universities, stressing that the advancement of society and the building of the new Syria begin with education and addressing social and educational challenges through academic cooperation and civil society institutions
