Homs University launches the forum “Building the skills of future” for the digital transformation and applied techniques.
Applied Faculty at Homs University organized a technical forum ” Building the skills of future” at the Faculty of Science, with the participation of academics and those interested in technology and digital transformation.
The forum included lectures and workshops on drones, Web3 techniques, secure information, solar energy, and digital transformation, with the purpose of supporting innovation and developing modern technical applications.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has emphasized that the university continues to support applied knowledge and consolidate the culture of innovation in line with its vision for preparing cadres capable of keeping pace with rapid transformations in the field of technology and digital intelligence, indicating to the role of academic institutions in qualifying a generation possessing the future tools.
Dean of the Applied Faculty, Prof. Fadi Tarkawi, has explained that technical transformation has become an inevitable need in light of rapid developments, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, referring to the faculty’s orientation towards enhancing applied skills and linking them to the labor market.
The university Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Houssam Al-Wafai, and Eng. Omar Al-Sabagh, reviewed the latest developments in the field of drones, as Al-Wafai addressed their use in graduation projects and their applications in military, agricultural, commercial, and service sectors in addition to their applications in smart cities.
