Homs University organized an introductory lecture on “Opportunities to Benefit from Erasmus+ Programs,” with the participation of faculty members, researchers, postgraduate students, and undergraduate students, at the Blue Hall in the Faculty of Architecture.
Prof. Abdul Ghafour Al-Shihabi, an international researcher and expert in European Union programs, addressed the program’s objectives, funding opportunities available for universities, capacity-building projects, and academic mobility. In addition, he covered project preparation and management, building and evaluating international partnerships, and presented successful models and experiences.
The President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, emphasized the importance of broadening the participation of the university’s staff and students in international academic cooperation programs, and leveraging the opportunities provided by Erasmus+ to support higher education and scientific research.
The lecture concluded with a discussion session during which Prof. Al-Shihabi answered the audience’s inquiries on how to benefit from the program in a way that contributes to enhancing the educational and research process at Homs University.
