Homs University hosted an expanded meeting for the newly appointed student bodies, attended by Mr. Obeida Arnaout, the director of the political affairs office in Homs governorate, a large number of faculty deans, teaching staff, and more than 600 male and female students.
President of Homs University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, indicated that the formation of the Student Union represents the voice of students and their platform for expressing their aspirations and active participating in the development of the university and society. Moreover, he emphasized that the university fully supports students and commits to providing a stimulating learning environment that enables them to grow and succeed
.
The meeting witnessed a fruitful discussion among the students about their aspirations to improve the university environment, develop curricula, and provide training opportunities that prepare them for the job market. They also stressed the importance of activating cultural and social activities to foster a spirit of cooperation and belonging.
This meeting is part of a series of events organized by Homs University to enhance communication between the student administration and students, and to activate their role in various academic and social fields.
