In a humanitarian gesture aimed at supporting child patients psychologically and emotionally. The medical charity foundation (Medlife) organized an interactive visit to the pediatric department at Homs University Hospital.
The visit included direct communication with the children, and givining of simple, safe toys appropriate to their health conditions, which contributed to bringing joy to their hearts and creating a warm atmosphere within the hospital’s corridors.
Dr. Samih Khalouf, Director General of Homs University Hospital, expressed his appreciation for this initiative, noting its positive impact on improving children’s psychological well-being. He also emphasized the important role of civil society organizations in providing humanitarian support, which contributes to achieving effective integration within the healthcare system.
For her part, Dr. Saba Al-Radwan, Executive Director of Medlife Foundation, explained that the initiative comes as part of the Foundation’s plan to establish the concept of “treatment with joy” , based on its belief that smiling contributes to children’s recovery and provides them with positive energy that helps them fight disease.
This initiative comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation between the hospital and community institutions to promote an integrated therapeutic environment that takes into account the physical and psychological aspects of patients.
