Homs University Council held its regular meeting, chaired by the university president, Prof. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, and attended by the university vice-presidents and secretary, as several scientific, academic, and administrative issues on the agenda were discussed.
The council has indicated that the exams last from 29 June till 10 July 2025, stressing that all necessary logistical and organizational preparations have been completed.
It has also reviewed the progress of theoretical exams at the technical institutes, praising the efforts made to ensure the smooth running of the exam process in a manner that achieves fairness and transparency.
The council stressed the need to expedite the issuance of practical exam programs, emphasizing the implementation of the decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to consider the students’ circumstances regarding the attendance of practical sessions. Moreover, it confirmed the necessity of providing remedial sessions to avoid their deprivation of taking practical exams, so as to serve the interest of students and achieve the quality of the educational process

The council issued a series of recommendations and decisions aimed at enhancing the quality of education and developing academic and administrative performance at the university, in line with the its strategic vision of upgrading the level of higher education and serving the community.
