The council of Homs University held its periodic session chaired by the university president, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, in the presence of the university secretary and the faculty deans. They discussed a number of academic and administrative issues related to the educational and research process.
It reviewed the progress of theoretical exams at faculties, discussed the most significant challenges facing the examination process, and considered the mechanisms to overcome obstacles and ensure a suitable academic environment that guarantees fairness and transparency.
In this context, Prof. Houssam ElDeen emphasized the necessity of grading papers and issuing results quickly and accurately within the time limit, to safeguard the interest of students and the success of educational process.
During the session, the council approved the publication of a book entitled “Professional Work Guide” which is the first of its kind among public and private universities in Syria. The guide offers specialized content that keeps abreast of modern professional standards and enhances university education outcomes.
The council stressed that this guide improves the university academic ranking and scientific position at the national and international levels, as it is a practical reference that fills a knowledge gap in this vital field.
