The Faculty of Agriculture at Homs University has completed the discussions of graduation projects for the academic year 2024-2025. A total of 119 projects have been submitted this year

Department of Horticulture: 7 projects.
Department of Forestry and Environment: 17 projects.
Department of food science: 11 projects.
Department Of Rural Engineering: 13 projects.
Department of Basic Sciences: 4 projects.
Department of Agricultural Economics: 5 projects.
Department of Animal Production: 13 projects.
Department of Field Crops: 25 projects.
Department of Soil and Lands Relcamation: 18 projects.
Department of Plant Protection: 6 projects.
Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering, Prof. Samir Shamsham, has explained that the projects focused on several topics, most notably the provision of practical solutions for converting household waste into organic fertilizers, with the goal of reducing agricultural production costs and promoting environmental sustainability.
Moreover, there have been joint projects between the Department of Field Crops and the Faculty of Informatics Engineering, and models have been developed using artificial intelligence to improve production and analyze agricultural data.
In addition, he has indicated that a number of projects addressed the impact of using solar energy and clean alternatives in improving agricultural production efficiency and reducing the environmental impact.
Prof. Shamsham has emphasized that these projects reflect the students’ spirit of innovation and their commitment to providing realistic and sustainable solutions to contemporary agricultural issues, contributing to the development of the agricultural sector and keeping pace with current environmental and technological challenges.
