A master thesis entitled” Synthesis of heterocyclic polymers and study of some of their properties” was discussed by the researcher Muhammed Bashir Al-Hussein at the Faculty of Science,
under the supervision of Prof. Siba Nasif and with the participation of Professor Rasha Alabbas.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Rushdi Madwar, Prof. Muhammed Kishi, and Prof.Siba Nassif.
This research aims to prepare two types of heterocyclic polymers using different methods and to study their physical, thermal, and electrical properties. It also aims to exploit these properties in developing materials with high application value, particularly in the field of electrochemical sensors capable of detecting pharmaceutical compounds.
The results of the study showed the following
- The electrochemical sensor based on the polyandro/tropicamide-graphite complex demonstrated a good electrical response, making it an effective method for drug detection in aqueous media.
- The electrochemical sensor based on the polyandro/tropicamide-graphite complex demonstrated a good electrical response, making it an effective method for drug detection in aqueous media.
- Controlling the preparation conditions and selecting appropriate reaction parameters are key factors for improving the final properties of the heterocyclic polymers.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher Muhammed Bashir Al-Hussein was warded a master’s degree with distinction.
