A master thesis entitled “The role of the disciplinary court in the request to initiate public action” was discussed by the researcher Rawad Jamil Shaddoud at the Faculty of Law, under the supervision of Prof. Tarek Muhammed Ali Al-Nahhas.
The judging panel comprised the following professors: Prof. Subhi Al-Adli, Prof. Tarek Al-Nahhas, and Prof. Basem Wannous.
The aim of the research is to explain the role played by the disciplinary court in the prosecution of employment-related offenses
The results were as follows:
The Syrian legislature granted immunity to government employees for offenses related to their work. It also granted the disciplinary court the exclusive right to refer the employee to criminal justice, otherwise the procedure would be invalidated and subject to appeal.
At the end of the discussion, the researcher Rawad Jamil Shaddoud was awarded a master’s degree with a very good grade.
