Homs University, in cooperation with Wakeed training team, has launched a training program on the cloud accounting system “Wakeed” with the participation of 500 students of the Faculty of Economics.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has emphasized that the university constantly seeks to provide integrated educational environment that keep up with the technological developments in all fields, indicating the importance of such programs in linking the academic knowledge with practical application and in enabling students to use modern digital tools that enhance their professional preparedness.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Khaled Bahbouh, has explained that the new cloud accounting system is a qualitative innovation in the field of accounting applications, as the accounting entries are carried out without the need for external tools or supporting program. In addition, he had added that the program introduces students with the latest accounting programs approved in the labor market and promotes the practical application.
The chief executive of Wakeed company for the financial and administrative solutions, Mr. Ahmed Al-Ashkar, has pointed out that the company cooperates with the Faculty of Economics within the framework of a partnership that aims to practically qualify the faculty students on Wakeed program used in the market environment. Furthermore, he has clarified that the program includes seven lectures, starting with a theoretical session to review the basics of accounting, followed by six practical lectures that include data entry, company formation and preparation of financial statements, and concluding with an evaluation test in which the trainee who achieves a percentage of 60% or more receives a certificate of the completion of training
