Homs University organized a ceremony at the Faculty of Music Education theater, during which it honored 22 students, in addition to the ensemble supervisor, Mr. George Al-Dawi and Mr. Jamil Ammari, in appreciation of their participation in the “Song of Victory” concert on the occasion of the first anniversary of liberation, and for their role in representing the university in musical and cultural activities.
The Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Walid Khaddam, affirmed that the university pays special attention to fostering creativity and young talents, based on the importance of the arts in university life, noting that the performance by the Faculty of Music Education ensemble reflected the university’s cultural and national message, especially with Homs University being unique in having a faculty specializing in music education among Syrian universities.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty of Music Education, Prof. Azza Khalouf, explained that this achievement came as a result of the students’ cooperation with the teaching staff, noting that the honoring constitutes an incentive to continue developing artistic and academic performance and enhancing the university’s cultural presence.
The honored students and professors expressed their pride in this recognition, emphasizing their commitment to continuing to produce high-quality musical works that contribute to enriching the artistic scene within the university.
