The Higher Institute of Languages conducted the foreign language test ( French and English) for registering in doctoral degree, with the participation of 52 students. 50 students sat for English language test and 2 students for French language test, according to specific standards and academic supervision.
During his inspection of the teaching process, the President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, emphasized the university’s commitment to providing exam environment that ensures equal opportunities and raises linguistic competence in a way that serves scientific research.
For his part, the Dean of the Higher Institute of Languages, Muhammad Al-Ali, explained that organizing the test comes within the institute’s plan to qualify students linguistically in accordance with the requirements of postgraduate studies, while continuing to develop assessment tools in a way that enhances the accuracy and objectivity of the results.
A foreign language test is a basic requirement for registration in a PhD program, given its role in enabling researchers to access global scientific resources and engage in international academic communication.
