Homs University has signed an understanding memorandum with Al-Maali Private University to promote scientific, research and academic cooperation and develop academic relations, contributing to enhancing the level of knowledge and supporting the joint scientific research efforts.
The memorandum includes cooperation in exchanging publications, scientific materials, educational papers and research information. In addition, it encourages joint publication between the researchers of both universities, supervision of master’s and doctoral theses and participation in their judging panels, development of research programs and holding joint scientific seminars and conferences, and exchanging the teaching members, researchers and students for the purpose of teaching, researches and developing courses. President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has emphasized the importance of this memorandum in expanding the scope of research and academic cooperation with national educational institutions. Furthermore, he has referred that it positively impacts the development of the educational process, providing researchers and students with greater opportunities to benefit from the resources and scientific publications available to both parties and contributing to enhancing the quality of postgraduate theses and joint scientific publications.
For his part, President of Al-Maali Private University, Prof. Mahmoud Al-Mustafa, has affirmed that the memorandum constitutes a practical framework for developing academic exchange relations with Homs University and leveraging available scientific resources.
This memorandum comes as part of both parties’ commitment to unifying efforts and developing mechanisms for joint academic work, serving researchers and students and strengthening the role of educational institutions in supporting the advancement of science and scientific research.
The signing was attended by the vice-presidents of the universities, the chairman of the board of trustees, the director of cultural and international relations, and the university secretary.
