The Center for Skills and Career Guidance at Homs University organized an introductory workshop entitled ” The skills of preparing introductory presentations of graduation project and its defense before the judging panel” targeting graduating students, to enhance their skills in presenting their projects and ideas clearly.
The workshop was conducted by the center’s deputy director, Prof. Akl Mando, addressing several important topics: common mistakes in introductory presentations, design of professional slides, organization of scientific ideas, body language and its control, stress management, handling difficult and critical questions, and the art of scientific persuasion.
The university president, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, emphasized that preparation of student extends beyond academics to include character development and the cultivation of skills that enable students to confidently and effectively present themselves and their graduation projects.
For his part, the center’s director, Prof. Mustafa Al-Masri, stressed the importance of holding specialized workshops that serve graduating students and fourth- and fifth-year students, addressing practical skills they need throughout their university studies and beyond. The workshop is part of the center’s training program, which aims to provide practical topics that meet the needs of students at various stages of their university education.
