President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, and the university vice president for open education affairs, Prof. Muhammed Masri, met with a delegation from Syrian Agricultural Engineers Syndicate, headed by the president of syndicate, Eng. Mustafa Al-Mustafa.
The delegation included the secretary of the central treasury, Eng. Adnan Khalaf, the president of syndicate in Homs , Eng. Abdul Latif Al-Brejawi, and some syndicate members.
The meeting discussed the cooperation prospects between Homs University and the Agricultural Engineers Synidicate, with a focus on activating training and qualification programs for agricultural engineers and enhancing their competencies to meet labor market requirements and modern technological developments in the agricultural sector.
In addition, the meeting focused on the importance of agreeing on improving the agricultural projects at the university by leveraging the academic and research expertise of faculty members and by using the results of scientific research in addressing the challenges facing this vital sector.
At the end of the meeting, the importance of continued cooperation and joint work between the two sides was stressed to benefit students and agricultural engineers and serve the community.
Prof. Houssam ElDeen indicated the importance of the partnership between the university and professional syndicates in enhancing the practical role of university education, emphasizing that the university is ready to use its academic expertise and scientific laboratories in developing the skills of agricultural engineers and support initiatives and projects that serve sustainable agricultural development in Syria.
