President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam El-Deen, accompanied by the university vice presidents and the university secretary, inspected the three centers designated by the university to receive high school students wishing to apply for the admission sorting for the current academic year. The centers are located at the Central Directorate of Student Affairs, the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and the Faculty of Informatics Engineering.
These centers are provided with internet access and specialized staff for technical support and academic guidance, so as to ensure a comfortable environment for students.
The university president has indicated that the university, based on the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for this year, has worked on updating the registration mechanism for the admission sorting as the entrance exam for the Faculty of Architecture must be submitted electronically and the entrance exams for the English and French languages have been cancelled. He has also noted that the registration for the exam of the Faculty of Music Education is electronic, and that the student later take the specialized practical exam.
Furthermore, Prof. Houssam El-Deen has pointed out the necessity of including all preferences in the application of the admission sorting, because the student will not be admitted if the preference is rejected even if all conditions are met.
Moreover, he stated that the students may benefit from the services provided by the centers as the university has always been interested in developing the university digital services and facilitating administrative procedures for ensuring an academic environment suitable for its students.
