655 students from various disciplines took the foreign language test to enroll in the master’s degree program at Homs University. The test was supervised by the Higher Institute of Languages and followed up directly by the university presidency.
The applicants were distributed according to the specializations of foreign languages as follows: 593 in general English, 49 in English for specific purposes, 5 in general French, and 8 in French for specific purposes.
President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, has highlighted the importance of the test in qualifying students wishing to pursue higher studies, emphasizing that foreign language proficiency is an essential tool for scientific research and access to modern academic references.
In addition, he has noted that the university is committed to implementing these tests according to the highest standards of accuracy and transparency to ensure equal opportunities for all applicants.
Dean of the institute, Prof. Muhammed Al-Ali, has explained that the Institute has fully prepared for the exam by equipping the halls and organizing the administrative staff, noting that the institute is constantly working to provide specialized training courses for students, in addition to posting results and exam forms on its website to help them prepare well for the exam
