The Higher Institute of Languages at Homs University conducted the exceptional emrollement exam for the master’s degree in English and French, with the participation of 293 students from various faculties and university specializations.
The number of applicants in English was 265 students, 22 in specialized English, 5 students in French, and one student in specialized French.
The university vice-president for scientific affairs and higher studies, Prof. Muhammed Masri, has emphasized that the test supports the research paths, emphasizing the university’s commitment to providing transparent and integrity exam environment that ensures equal opportunities for all applicants.
The institute dean, Prof. Muhammed Al-Ali, has indicated that the test is to assess the linguistic skills and cognitive tools necessary for scientific research, indicating the concreted efforts of the administrative and teaching staff in organizing halls and monitoring work to ensure smoothness of the examination process.
In addition, he explained that the number of applicants reached 293 students, and that the tests took place in an atmosphere of complete calm and adherence to all established controls.
