President of Al Baath University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, inspected the unified national medical exam conducted by the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation for sixth year students who wish to take the entrance exam to higher education at medical faculties in public and private Syrian and non-Syrian universities.
Prof. Al Khatib emphasized the importance of national exams especially the unified medical examination in evaluating the medical education outputs and developing graduates before practicing their profession. The first session of the exam included 120 questions in the specialities of pediatric, internal and dermatological diseases and laboratory. The second session will take place on 14 April.In addition, the university president indicated that the number of applicants reached (65) students at Al Baath University center, including (36) students from Al Baath University, (28) students from private universities and one student from a non-Syrian university.
University Vice-President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Elias Boutros, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine participated in the observation tour.
