A delegation of students from the Faculty of Health Sciences, headed by the faculty dean , Prof.Dr. Souad Al-Eid, organized a scientific visit as part of strengthening academic cooperation and exchange of experiences among Syrian universities.
The visit included a field tour in the different departments of the faculty , including the Nutrition department, the science laboratories, the physical therapy department, and the physical therapy center. The delegation was briefed on the available infrastructure and training equipment. The students also participated in introductory and interactive scientific sessions with the teaching staff, which provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge and enhance academic integration between the two faculties.
Prof. Abdul Basit Al Khatib, President of Homs University, has emphasized that the visit reflects the spirit of cooperation among the national universities and the university’s commitment to academic openness and the exchange of experiences to serve the interests of students. In addition, he has explained that the university always welcomes joint academic initiatives and seeks to provide an open educational environment that allows students to learn about diverse experiences and enhances their academic and professional readiness.
For his part, Prof. Hazem Dahman, the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Homs University, expressed his pleasure at welcoming the students from the University of Damascus, indicating that such visits open new horizons for scientific integration and contribute to building effective educational partnerships that enrich the educational process and improve the quality of academic outcomes.
For her part, Prof. Souad Al Eid, the dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at Sham University, has stressed the importance of this visit in connecting students with realistic field learning experiences that contribute to developing their skills and motivating them to interact and open up professionally within a comprehensive national environment.
Prof. Salah Ghazi, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences for Scientific Affairs at Homs University, has explained that these visits represent an opportunity for students to exchange direct academic experiences and contribute to the development of qualified healthcare cadres capable of working within an integrated national healthcare system.
Students participating in this visit expressed their appreciation for the warm welcome and the rich scientific program, noting that the visit was a unique educational experience that greatly enhanced their academic knowledge and broadened their professional horizons. Moreover, they emphasized their eagerness for more joint activities that would support their effective integration into the healthcare labor market.
