In a qualitative step across Syria, the Office of Professional Practice at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Homs University organized the first training course of its kind, titled “Dry Needling Techniques.” The course targeted students and graduates of the Department of Physical Therapy and Al-Rasheed Private University, as well as holders of intermediate institute certificates.
About 51 male and female trainees participated in the course, which covered a number of advanced scientific topics, including: an introduction to dry needling technique , its principles and physiological mechanisms, its indications and contraindications, its mechanism of its impact on fibromyalgia and sensitive points, in addition to the physical assessment and practical application methods on various body areas.
President of Homs University, Prof. Abdul Basit Al-Khatib, has stated that the university attaches great importance to organizing such qualitative courses that keep pace with global scientific developments, in line with its objective in linking the university with community and meet its needs for advanced specializations

Participants expressed that they benefited from this scientific experience, stressing that it contributed to broadening their professional horizons and improving the level of healthcare .
At the conclusion of the course, certificates of attendance were awarded to participants by the Deanship of the Faculty of Health Sciences, confirming their successful completion of advanced training content, as Homs University’ is comitted to achieve academic and applied excellence in the field of physical therapy.
