The Information and Communications Technology Incubator , in cooperation with Homs University, has organized an interactive session entitled “She programs the future” on the occasion of Girls in ICT Day. The session aimed to introduce female students to the fundamentals of entering the programming job market and to explore the latest digital technologies
The session addressed the initial steps in the technical field, choosing software specializations, and introducing modern fields such as artificial intelligence, with a focus on the required digital skills, in addition to practical presentations on developing websites and the role of both Front-End and Back-End, designing user experience and interface (UX/UI), and developing smart applications from idea to implementation, while providing a clear roadmap for the students.
The President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, affirmed that the female students possess high analytical abilities that qualify them to excel in programming, noting that their superior numbers compared to males enhance their leadership in the technology sector, and that the initiatives aim to support and enable them to contribute to a technological future that serves the community.
The incubator’s director, Eng. Hala Jahjah, expressed her delight at the students’ participation, emphasizing the importance of transforming ideas into practical projects, and affirming the incubator’s readiness to provide the necessary support and guidance. This event is part of the efforts of Homs University and the Information and Communications Technology Incubator to support Homs University, which concluded its “Our Food is Our Medicine” conference with research insights into nutrition and public health.
