In the presence of the President of Homs University, Prof. Tarek Houssam ElDeen, the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering, Prof. Moufak Al-Talawi, representing the university, signed a Letter of Intent for joint cooperation with the Technical University of Freiburg, Germany, represented by Prof. Khaled Al-Hamdan, with the aim of enhancing international academic and scientific cooperation.
The agreement includes activating joint master’s programs, developing mutual research projects, and exchanging academic expertise and scientific materials to keep pace with the latest global developments.
Prof. Houssam ElDeen emphasized that this agreement is part of the university’s strategic vision to open up to prominent international universities. He noted the university’s ongoing efforts to develop educational programs to align with modern technical and scientific standards, thereby contributing to refining students’ skills and supporting the progress of scientific research.
For his part, Prof. Khaled Al-Hamdan highlighted the importance of laying the cornerstone of this fruitful cooperation, explaining that this step aims to build sustainable bridges that open broad horizons for researchers to implement joint projects and develop qualitative programs that serve modern scientific trends.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Walid Khaddam, Vice-President for Scientific Affairs, and Prof. Radwan Al-Masri, Director of the University’s Renewable Energy Center.
