Homs University has participated in an interactive workshop entitled ” Promoting transparency and building community trust”, organized by the Central Authority for Supervision and Inspection in cooperation with Homs Governorate, in the presence of the president of the authority, Prof. Abdul Rahman Al-Aaama, and the university vice-president for administrative and scientific affairs, Prof. Ayman Kseibi, as a representative of Homs University.
Prof. Ayma has emphasized that transparency and community accountability constitute the pillar of developing the administrative performance,indicating that the participation of the university stems from its national role in supporting the oversight initiatives and promoting integration between the educational institutions and oversight bodies in a manner that serves the public interest.
Furthermore, he has noted the importance of such meetings in instilling the culture of cooperation between institutions and opening new horizons for activating community oversight, which will positively impact the lives of citizens and enhance confidence in institutional work.
The workshop aimed to promote community oversight and consolidate the values of integrity and transparency, through a meeting of Syrian elites and an exchange of views on mechanisms for building trust between institutions and society.
The workshop witnessed a wide attendance and rich contributions from various sectors, which helped to enrich the discussion and provide constructive ideas on ways to combat corruption and enhance institutional efficiency.
